Today we are going to talk about teachers and their traits.

Teachers are hired transparently as needed by your school's Headmaster. Your Headmaster, campus facilities, policies and overall school reputation can all influence what sort of teachers will end up at your school. Every teacher (as well as Headteachers, Discipline Masters and the Headmaster) will have a number of traits. Some of these traits will be visible to the player while others will be hidden. Traits will manifest themselves in different ways during gameplay - sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.

All teachers will have the following traits:

Gender
-Is the teacher male or female

Age
-Will be from 23 to 64 when hired
-Aged 64 teachers will automatically retire at the end of the year school
-Some teachers who are hired at a young age may remain at your school for decades; while others may leave or be dismissed for various reasons

Quality
Every teacher has an quality rating ranging from 1 (Mediocre) to 4 (Outstanding).
-(1) Mediocre teachers do just the bare minimum to scrape by; or not even that. They often do not last long in one system, though in some cases they can be excellent at brown nosing to have their failings overlooked.
-(2) Average teachers make up the majority of teachers. They come in and do their work reasonably well, but not much more.
-(3) Good teachers are highly effective educators and often go above and beyond. Most Headteachers will be drafted from this this category.
-(4) Outstanding teachers are those truly rare gems that everyone looks up. They bring prestige to a school and their mere presence can increase a school's reputation and desirability.

Teachers can also have one or more - or none - of the following public traits:

Smoker
-Teachers who are smokers will frequently wander outside to smoke on breaks which can lead to various encounters; being a smoker can also influence how they may deal with situations such as catching a student smoker.

Fair
-Teachers with this trait have a reputation for being fair and even-handed. Fair teachers tend to make excellent disciplinarians and administrators.

Effective
-Effective teachers will often be able to produce higher scoring students.

Liked
-Some teachers just have a persona that makes others like them. This can have positive and negative results; a likeable teacher may be able to avoid consequences of violating school rule for example.

Connected
-A teacher with this trait has a well connected network of friends and allies. As with being liked, this trait can have both positive and negative results.

Strict
-A strict teacher has a much lower tolerance for misbehavior and runs tight ship in class. Being strict is neither good or bad, but will produce different outcomes.

Teachers can also have hidden traits, not visible to the player:

Orientation
-(All teachers will have this trait) Is the teacher straight, bi or gay? The orientation of a teacher may influence how the following three traits are expressed.

Spanko
-"Spanko" teachers absolutely love dishing out spanking and corporal punishment and often will go out of their way to do it.

Sadist
-A sadist teacher enjoys inflicting pain and/or suffering on students, which may or may not include corporal punishment.

Deviant
-Deviant teachers may take sexual interest in students or sexualize punishments beyond the norm. These teachers are scandals waiting to happen.

That's all for today guys!
