Just a thought and I do not know if anyone else will agree.
I think it is cumbersome, having to build and rebuild your school on every new build release. If you are sure of the build features working now, would it not make sense to have a small functional pre populated school on the game that you can select to run? This could be a small basic one that users can easily add to
Would make testing much easier, as it gets boring having to re do the basics time and again, during testing,
Also, some users who buy the game in the end might want to just "play the game" or running the school - the fun part! and not get into the building part, especially if they are not tech sav
You could have a very basic school the minimum needed to run. Players could then add on and change what they like or start the game.
It could be you have to set your policies before the school will open, that would be possibly a good idea but the basic school would be ready and functional
At start up you would select, build my own school or chose school
You could even, at launch perhaps have several schools available to choose from, ready and with different designs or very detailed for which a player might have to purchase an add on to get the complex ones unlocked?

That's a great idea. In the interim, for testing purposes, we almost always have a prebuilt school we use for internal development and debugging for each new version. We can start including it (as a save file) in future builds.

For testing purposes, a pre-built school would be great as the process of building a new one with each new release becomes quite tedious.
However, as my most recent bug report shows, there are still issues with the building process. These probably need to be rectified first.
Once these are ironed out, a pre-built school for texting future stages would be great!
Once the software is opened error-free to general release, I would expect that most people would like to design their own schools.
However, I remember having "Sim City" back in the 90s on RICSOS (!), which had a guide of over 100 pages which had enough details to give general guidance as to how to build a useful city, but not too much guidance as to make it fool-proof to the user.
