Every so often I get this. I cannot work out what triggers it , it is not specific to one moment in the game

Indicates the game is looking for a graphic file and cannot find it. We will try running some tests on different variations of the interaction screen.

How did you get that menu screen with "Talk to", etc.???

I can't work out how to control characters! Sad

First take control of a character (make sure they are not walking)
---Then if you interact with the same character a 'self-interaction' screen will popup
---Then if you interact with another character an 'interaction' screen will popup

I recommend playing around with the ones pre-populated in build mode to get the hang of it.

Thank you very much for your support.

I have found a character who is in the building because I have pressed "Find" and it shows a location.

The "puppet string" button doesn't do anything.

So I keep on pressing find for quite a while so if he was moving, presumably the screen would move to another location. But it doesn't.

So I presume that he must be one of the clumped up characters not moving.

But I keep pressing the "puppet string" button, but it doesn't do anything.

Is the texture error screen still showing up when the countdown timer hits 0 in #5?

Yes (using saved file from version 4 - sorry, haven't had time to start from scratch - not sure if that matters?)

I am oddly not able to recreate this one on my end. When you have a chance please try with a new map from scratch.
[BTW - I assume your language setting in the game is English?]

Will do! Might not get much of a chance before Wednesday, but will try to if I get some time!
(Yes, English version)

If it's still not appearing when the timer hits 0:00, please open the 'School Simulator/Content/graphics/windows/early' folder and look for a file named 'early-access-end.xnb' ; this is the one that should be appearing in game when the time hits 0:00.

I have created a new map from scratch in version 7.

Again, when the countdown reaches 0:00, the texture error appears.

Yes, English version.

The file you stated appears to be there (see attached image).

When countdown reaches 0:00, the red texture error screen still shows in version 8.

(Using Windows 11 Home, 1980 x 1020)

If this still occurring in v10, please try the following (at any time during the game):

1. Open the console with ~ or F10
2. Type in "endmessage" (no quotes) and press enter
3. Close the console with ~ or F10

Let me know if the message appears correctly this way, or if the texture error still comes up.
