Hi,

I know that I've reported several bugs (many of which I've solved), but I thought that I would make a few suggestions for potential improvements. Of course, I understand that some may be taken on board and not others.

* The School Policies > Punishment menu could perhaps be clearer?
It says "Set requirements for each role using cp":, which only refers to the top three rows (Same Sex, Witness Req, In Private).
Would it be clearer if there were a horizontal line between In Private and Butt because there is a transition from requirements to body parts?
Would it be clearer if there were a horizontal line between Calves and Clothed because there is a transition from body parts to attire?
Would it be clearer if there were a horizontal line between Bare and Cane because there is a transition from attire to implements?

* When initially building the building, it's quite tedious to press build on every square of what needs to be a long building. Could a rectangle be drawn to build the building in a block of squares making it much quicker so the user can get on with designing layout?

* Once the user has placed a room, they then need to click the Build icon to either place another room or build another block. Would it be better to stay in build mode as a user is likely to want to place one room after another after another?

* On the "It's Been a Long Road" message, it says "sit policies", which should read "set policies".

* Should cp be in capitals (CP)?

* It's good that the user can zoom in and out. Maybe allowing the user to zoom out more would make building easier?

* When zooming in and out, it jumps to a slightly different part of the building. Could it zoom in and out keeping the focus on the same part of the buildidng?

* I know some of the previous "bugs" that I experienced was based on the screen scale. Will the software come with a short quick start guide / readme file to tell users the requirements of system settings?

* I've got to grips with the menus on the left, but I found them a little confusing at first. Would it be useful to have a short quick start guide to briefly explain the menu system and the icons to first time users?

* When moving the cursor to the left or the top, the whole screen navigates that way. Would it be useful for that not to happen when the cursor hovers over the menu/toolbox?

Thank you for your attention.

I hope that this doesn't sound like a long list of moans (it's not supposed to be!) - I just want to give you user feedback which you can then choose whether or not to take it on board!

There are a lot of things I like about the design so I would like to thank the development team!

Sorry, I've just seen that I accidentally posted this under Bug Reports rather than Feature Ideas.

Sorry. Please feel free to move post to correct section.

* If not enough Conference Rooms, message says "Not enough Teacher Rooms". In the UK, teacher rooms are called "staff rooms" and a conference room would more be a meeting room for governors or school leadership to meet. Maybe use one clear phrase as the first time I heard a staff room being called a "conference room" was in the DM software!

* Another language query: What is a "Non-subject classroom"? (Having looked at the teacher lists, does this mean art room, music room, etc?)

* Why are there characters standing at the bottom in design mode?

-The not enough teacher rooms might be a bug. In the game conference rooms and teacher offices ("group offices") are two different rooms entirely.
-Non-subject classrooms are intended for use by art, music and/or clubs (once we get to after school periods). When the game is generating a master schedule it will look for non-subject rooms to use first for those subjects; if it can't find anyone it will use regular classrooms.
-The characters standing at the bottom in design mode are for general testing/play outside of the simulation side.

Thanks for that. It was solved by adding a conference room.

That's useful to know, in particular, that it will use subject classrooms if there aren't enough non-subject classrooms. However, things like this might be a good idea to put in a short quick-start guide or an interactive help section?

Thank you.

-We've adjusted zoom in #5 to gravitate more toward where on the map the player mouse is pointing.
-Map should no longer scroll left when mouse is the menu as of #5

Both of them much better! Smile

Thank you!
