Some of you, particularly those using Windows, may have encountered security warnings or even automatic deletion of the game executable file when trying to run School Simulator.

Why This Happens
It's important to understand that these warnings are neither your fault nor ours as the developers. They stem from the unique and niche nature of the School Simulator game and the poor ways many security software makers communicate to their users.

Small Player Base, Limited recognition: Compared to mainstream games, School Simulator has a truly miniscule player base. Likewise as a small, independent developer that sells directly via our website (as oppose to Steam, Epic Game Store, etc) we simply do not have the same level of recognition as larger, mainstream developers. These two factors combined means that security software may not immediately recognize our game executables as "known", safe programs.
New executable files: Most often, these warnings occur when we issue a 'new' game executable file alongside an update/patch. Initially, security software may flag these new files as unfamiliar, but over time, they typically begin to recognize the executable and deem it "safe." [This will occur more often during early access, when we are releasing updated executables at a fast pace.]

How This Affects Security Measures
Security software often relies on how common a file is to determine its safety. Simply put, because our games aren't widely distributed, the executable may be flagged as unfamiliar. Security programs are designed to be cautious about uncommon files, sometimes erring on the side of overprotection. Unfortunately, many use hyperbolic language such as virus, trojan, etc when a file is merely unknown.

Rest assured, School Simulator is safe to play. These warnings result from cautious security measures and poor messaging from security vendors rather than any actual threat. We appreciate your understanding and continued support of School Simulator. If you encounter any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance.
